Weird online radio stations
Today a friend sent me a link to Duck Radio. It's an Internet radio station controlled by ducks. The station changes when a duck pecks the sensor.
Right now the ducks are listening to Bible Broadcasting Network. They listed to NPR during most of my drive home.
I also love lofiatc.com. It's lofi accompanying live air traffic control radio. The site seems to be down at the moment, though. Alas.
Other weird online radio stations I love:
- tree.fm Recordings of forest noises from around the world.
- Inside Wire Broadcasting from inside Colorado State Prison.
- Birdsong.fm Tree.fm, but birdsong. This one always gets my cats' attention.
- And, of course, Radio Garden - radio stations from all over the world! (My favorites list includes one from Livonia, Michigan that broadcasts teleplays of classic sci-fi shows and Radio Skye, which is a combination of 80s/90s New Wave, Scots folksongs, and whatever else the DJs feel like.
That's not even getting into some of the fun stuff on YouTube. I especially enjoy working to eight hours of Star Trek: Voyager bridge ambient noises.
I'll keep collecting these as long as people keep sending them to me!
